Delivery Driver
Looking for drivers 21 and over to work mainly weekends, you will be delivering and setting up bouncy castles and other hire items. If you have access to your own van this could also work. We offer a percentage rate of pay per bookings delivered and collected. We deliver to Basingstoke, Farnborough and Winchester and surrounding areas.
This job involves -
- Organising and keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
- Maintaining and cleaning the hire items.
- Loading and unloading vans.
- Delivering, setting up and packing away the hire equipment.
- Keeping the vans clean and tidy.
- Some hire items may require manning (full training will be given)
- The Job is mainly Friday - Sunday. (depending on demand there may be additional work on other days).
Key day to day responsibilities *
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Accepting payments for delivered items.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
- Operating equipment and machines, such as vans, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Any essential skills, qualifications or experience required? *
- To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- The ability to work well with others.
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Valid UK driver's licence.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
